Alchemists are individuals focused on the practice of alchemy. Despite centuries of setbacks and misunderstandings, they continue to operate.^[1] They also improve/brew potions and elixirs.^[2]

In-game

Alchemists are a type of NPC in Diablo IV. They can craft elixirs in exchange for herbs and gold. Prior to Season 11, they could be visited to upgrade healing potions.
