The Sling ring is a unique ring in Diablo II: Resurrected – Reign of the Warlock.

The most unique feature of Sling is its ability to cast Town Portal, in a way that is reminiscent of the Town Portal spell from the original Diablo game, where it is its own spell. This effectively allows the wearer to save a slot or two in their inventory as they do not need to carry a Tome or Scroll of Town Portal. Town portal costs no mana to cost and has no level requirement.

Even without this unique and flexible benefit, Sling is a powerful ring. Its Faster Cast Rate is matched by the FCR found on rare and magical rings, and while its Magic find is not the highest possible for a ring slot, it is still respectable. The reduction to enemy magic resistance is an extremely rare and powerful property that massively boosts the damage of builds such as the Hammerdin or Bonemancer; indeed, the boost in power, particularly if rolled -5%, is a significant upgrade in damage for them over the traditionally best-in-slot Stone of Jordan.
