The Sunbird is a creature found in Spiritborn mythology. According to myth, the Sunbird swallowed the sun whole. In the dark, the Spiritborn Xipil crawled to its nest and tore the sun free from the bird's gullet. Since, its throat was scorched red for its folly.^[1]
